Michael, 27, is the CEO and cofounder of Visikol, a biotech company that allows scientists to view tissues in a 3-D space as opposed to the traditional 2-D slices. This makes it easier to identify diseases like Alzheimer’s and cancer in body tissue samples.

At 27 years old, he was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for science in 2017. He started working on Visikol while he was working on a doctorate in applied microbiology at Rutgers University.

Michael enlightens us with the importance of listening and taking feedback from a tight circle of advisors, rather than those who think they can do it better than you. As GenY continues to innovate and create the future, it is imperative that we listen to ourselves, first, before looking to others for advice that may be unreliable or outdated.
